Yesterday I ran for the first time in a week, and for the first time since the infamous Carfos incident from a couple months ago, I went back to the beach of doom. The snow had melted away by now (believe it or not, there are still some sizeable piles of dirt and snow around town) and in place of cold white silence, there was an almost summer-like scene waiting for me on the other side of the dune:
I was waiting for my friend, who running from his place to the beach to meet me, so I had some time to take a couple more pictures…
I still yearn for the day that I can open the windows in my apartment again and sit on the deck in the morning and drink an espresso, but it feels like I’m getting closer to that day. It also doesn’t hurt that A-Team is considering taking our awesome soccer game outside. I finally admitted to myself that I want to play outdoors over the summer, so I broke down and bought some outdoor shoes. Since they’re red, I’ll probably run a bit faster and play a bit better. Shame I can’t wear them indoors…
Also, this weekend Sam turned one.
Here’s hoping he slows down at some point.
