That way, I could cross something off my list of goals for 2011 on day 4 of the new year. Given that I’ve been bowling in the upper 90s for a week or two now though, that’s not much of a goal. It’s about as challenging as “get in to work on time this year”…occasionally difficult, yes, but still not something that calls for much change.
I feel that I should really give credit for last night’s 105 to Ke$ha. Now before you start rolling your eyes, hear me out: I was bowling frames with scores of 3 or 4 per frame for the first five frames…and then Ke$ha came on. And there were strikes and spares and I somehow went from a 20-something score to a 105. When the bowling alley played Don’t Stop Believing last night, every single bowler who rolled during that song scored a spare or a strike, right up until they went and stopped the song midway through. Just cut it off. They stopped believing, and it was a bad thing. People went back to bowling the same way they had before (decent, or in my case, entertainingly lousy).
But yes. Other than that, there’s really not much of anything exciting or noteworthy to post about at 7 in the morning, and having been up for an hour and a half at this point doesn’t really change much. I did get a chance to repeat my treadmill performance this morning after doing some lifting, which made me pretty happy. Mondays and Wednesdays are usually pretty fit days for me; I get up, I work out, and then at night I wind up doing something reasonably athletic like indoor Ultimate frisbee or soccer practice. I would just be a bit happier if I could sandwich some more sleep in there somewhere.
