Holy Blog Post, Batman!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I’m going to resist the urge to vomit words onto my blog in a giant ten-thousand word post. Instead I’ll employ the kind of brevity that made doing papers in college absolute hell (really, how much do you want me to say about Pope Leo the…something? He’s been dead for like 1500 years.)

Over the weekend I cleaned my apartment. The Bachelor Pad now practically sparkles. It would probably sparkle, but the fact that it’s a Bachelor Pad makes it impossible for such a phenomenon to happen. This place is a tribute to video games, Star Wars, and Nerf guns, not a friggin Twilight book.

This morning I got to use a phrase that I’ve heard way too many times in my life (“This is not acceptable.”) and I have to say, it felt kind of good. Very cathartic. The only troubling thing is that I’m only about three buzzwords (judgment, character, and integrity) away from sounding like my dad. The circumstances surrounding the use of that word will be detailed at some point down the road in a separate blog post (filed under Tech for those of you who only read the boring parts of this blog), and it did feel really weird to basically ream a regional account manager, who has likely been doing his job since I was in middle school.

Anyways. I’m going to close out with a confession: I did not watch the Super Bowl last night. My brothers will likely kill me when they find out, since two of us are legitimately from Wisconsin and the other two know better than to cheer for the Lions. I had every intent of watching the game, I really did…and then I got really, really tired. Perhaps it was the awesome date on Saturday night. Or the fact that I was up until 3am (StarCraft with my friend, I swear…) but I was tired. So I slept from 8:30 on until 5:30 this morning when I woke up and ran a mile and a half on the treadmill. Sorry folks.
