I knew I hadn’t posted anything in a while, but nearly a month? This is about how lazy I’ve become. Or just otherwise distracted, depending on how you look at it.
Spring, however, is FINALLY here. Given that it’s May, it damn well better be here by now. April’s weather was downright schizophrenic. We had a day that hit 80 degrees, and we had snow three days later. The thermometer languished in the 40s and low 50s for weeks, refusing to give us even a glimmer of hope that it would warm up eventually.
Yesterday though, it finally started to feel like spring. I went for a nearly 6-mile run to try and prep for the River Bank Run next week and actually got a little bit of sun, and last night we went downtown to the Brew Pub. Around 10, we heard the fireworks go off and headed up to the roof to watch.
Arguably, the best way to watch the fireworks in town, period.
Today I’m going to try and get on my borrowed road bike and go for a ride. Given my inability to sleep in past about 7am, I figure I may have some time.
